Police Officer Bike Skills Training - 2 Day Clinic
Program Description:
This two day clinic has been designed specifically for the police and their unique riding skill needs. The course offers the ultimate hands on training by combining IPMBA's real world police work experience with 2x UCI Masters Downhill World Champion and IMIC Master Coach, Shaums March's, 10+ years of proven coaching methodology.
Session Goals:
- Improve and enhance overall bike handling skills resulting in more effective and safe bike police procedures.
- Develop key bike fundamentals to ensure officers are able to quickly and safely respond to all types of situations they may encounter during duty.
- Ensure all participants are trained to successfully navigate potential obstacles, slow speed maneuvers, and situational operations.
Day 1 - Fundamental Skills Session
- Body position
- Braking techniques
- Cornering techniques
- Slow speed maneuvering
Day 2 - Simulations
Detection and correction of key bike fundamentals during a typical police situation to ensure officers are able to quickly and safely respond to all types of situations they may encounter during duty.

Assumes group provides facilities for instruction including a classroom setting, parking lot and other urban environments as appropriate. If possible, a department issue bike for instructor to use.
